Yu Yuan Law is a solo venture started veteran lawyer, Allen Sun.

Allen is licensed to practice law in Taiwan. Allen also holds an EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certification in California, USA. He previously worked as a mechanical engineer in the U.S. energy industry.

Allen holds a Master’s degree in Law from the Graduate Institute of Interdisciplinary Legal Studies at National Taiwan University, as well as a Bachelor’s magna cum laude and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA, California.

• Financial Ventures: Completed various rounds of equity financing and convertible debt financing for Taiwan-based start-ups under offshore holding structure.

• Joint Ventures: Assisted a domestic company and a France-listed company in a joint venture in Taiwan in the adhesive industry.

• Southeast Asia Investments: Assisted a Taiwan-listed financial leasing company with an investment and joint venture in Cambodia.

• Foreign Direct Investments: Facilitated investments by foreign fabric and film manufacturers in domestic companies.

• Group Restructuring: Managed the restructuring of a foreign medical device group.

• Telecom Mergers: Played a key role in the merger of two domestic telecom companies (including the delisted of one of the telecom companies).

• U.S. Investment: Guided a domestic financial institution through its proposed acquisition of a financial institution in the United States.

• Pharmaceutical Licensing: Assisted a domestic pharmaceutical company in its collaborative licensing agreement with a Japanese pharmaceutical firm for a new drug (Phase 2 completed).

• Taiwan Capital Market: Assisted the management buyout and privatization of a TWSE-listed company.
